Life is going to beat you up , it wouldn't be fair if you don't throw some punches back..

Corona and its positive impact on youth

With everyone stuck at home, as Covid19 creates havoc in the world in terms of economics, trains and flights are being cancelled to reduce travel. Life, as we know it, has changed within days and beyond recognition. Coronavirus has taken the lives of people across the globe and we can see the numbers as soon as we switch on the TV. The governments of all over the world are taking whatever precautions they can take to prevent the spread. However, if we look closely, the pandemic also has some positive effects on the environment.
So, Today I am going to mark those positive impacts which Corona and post Corona times will bring. We all know that when COVID 19 will finish or been its cases will reduces to nearly zero in numbers its implications and impacts took years to vanish.

But don't you think that it will be the best time to start with some good and whatever you liked/loved thing to start with as we all know there were many flaws in our INDIAN EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL systems. Yes , we do also know that in this short term of lockdown, this crisis lead to massive job losses, young people are likely to bear the burnt. But isn't it true that all this brings the opportunity that would be to focus on ramping up our skills and start vocational training initiatives. You will be amazed to know that only  4.5% of India's population is as compared to 68% of British and 75% of the German population. So there are many of those who are not skilled but got a job. For them, their job is just a means of earning their livelihood and on day or the other, either they will have that job or been fired. So blaming Corona for all this to happen in my eyes is somehow not partial. If we talk about numbers 1.3 crore youngsters of the age group 20-24 loses their job compared to 1.4 crore of youngsters of the age group 25-29. But I think this is blessing and disguise for them. As now they will start something of their own in which they are more than happy in doing so and earn their livelihood.

What is common among Microsoft Adobe Uber Stripe WhatsApp Slack? All these companies were started during depression or right after . India, a youthful nation known for its innovative zeal, can take the lead in providing a new work culture which is definitely will not a 9-5 work culture. It is definitely something which gives them joy and for them their work is more than just work, so that they will grow in true sense. If you look around India's youth already put forward their first step with many of them are at homes during lockdown, they definitely had introspect and found their genius who was sleeping in their comfort zone of their minds as many of them started some e-sources of income just by taking their hobbies to the next level by starting a YouTube channel on fitness, dancing, choreography, cooking,  gaming, art and what not. They started using social media platforms to showcase their skills and talents of sketching, art, dancing, designing, professional kitchen. If they think more about it and find ways to monetize their hobbies, they will definitely bring the best business idea out of it which provide the joy to their hearts which no job or employment can give. More importantly they are self employed now. They are entrepreneur in true sense.

COVID 19 has, therefore, created a huge scope for a paradigm shift in youth employability and empowerment.
